My Story
Hi, my name is Josefina Buse, or Pepa, and I am a Professional Organizer based in Scarsdale, NY. Although I have been in this business for a short period of time, I feel like my entire life this is what I was meant to do.
My first memory of organizing a room goes back to when I probably was 11 years old. I remember I was visiting my aunts’ home and went into my cousins’ room and saw what I thought was a mess. All the toys spread around the floor and I just couldn’t let that happen. How could I!! I then, and without any hesitation, started putting them away, inside a huge basket they had in their closet, and also on the headboards. The room looked so neat and organized, I felt so proud of myself. Who knew, four decades later I would be pursuing happiness working as a Professional Organizer. Was it meant to be? I think so! You know what they say… When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!
2019 was the year I decided to take action and finally got my Certificate as a Professional Organizer from NAPO (National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals). Next thing… Covid hit the entire world and my pursuit of happiness had to be put on hold. I just couldn’t believe it! But against all odds, it was during these trying times that I scored my first home organization project at a friend’s home. She, as a high-risk patient and knowing I was extremely careful (my daughter was pregnant at that time), contacted me and asked for my help. We achieved our goal in about three months, one day per week for an average of 8 to 10 hours. We had all the time in the world, so why not! I can tell you: it was hard work, we were both exhausted at the end of each day, but it was the most rewarding experience of all time.
